Feed 1–2 ounces per 1,000 pounds of body weight per day (1–2 scoops per average-size light horse per day). Horses of substantially different sizes can be fed at a rate of 0.1–0.2 ounces per 100 pounds of body weight per day.
McCauley's® Biotime® is recommended for horses with poor-quality hooves and/or dry, rough hair coats.
The average-size riding/light harness type horse (body weight 1,000–1,200 pounds) will require 1 ounce of McCauley's® Biotime® per day.
The scoop enclosed in each container holds approximately 1 ounce of BIOTIME®.
With extremely bad hooves, 2 ounces per day is recommended.
McCauley's® Biotime® can be top-dressed, mixed in the horse feed or fed alone.
While positive results have been reported much earlier, several months of supplementation may be necessary before the benefits of McCauley's® Biotime® can be seen.
If you do not see improvement from McCauley's® Biotime® supplementation within six months, you may want to consult with our nutritionist to ensure that your feeding program is nutritionally sound.
